Other ways to make a PDF on iPhone

The Files app can also combine images: select them in Files, tap the More button (•••) and choose Create PDF. You can’t choose the page size or margins this way, and photos must be saved to Files first.

In Photos, you can tap Share, then Print, and pinch out on the preview to open it as a PDF. This works for a few photos, but page order and size are harder to control.

Privacy

Your images never leave your device. Reading, converting and creating the PDF all happen in your browser.

Nothing is uploaded to our servers, and there is no account to store files in. Closing this tab clears your images from memory.

Questions

Where is the PDF saved on iPhone?

Safari saves downloads to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. You can also tap the download icon in Safari’s address bar to open it, then share it to Mail, Messages or another app.

Do I need to install an app?

No. It works in Safari or any other browser on iPhone and iPad.

Can I take a photo of a document and turn it into a PDF?

Yes. Tap Select images, then Take Photo. Each photo you take becomes a page, and you can add more before creating the PDF.

Does it work with HEIC photos?

Yes. iPhone photos are usually HEIC, and they are converted automatically in Safari.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Reading, converting and creating the PDF all happen in your browser, on your device. Your images are never sent to a server, so they stay private even for documents like IDs, contracts and bank statements.
